Consent-Based Nuclear waste management solutions

The Community Consent Siting Initiative (CCSI) will revitalize a dormant nuclear waste management program and offer:

  1. Economic revitalization opportunities to communities that presently store spent fuel from decommissioned reactors;
  2. Economic development opportunities to communities that are interested in storing spent fuel; and,
  3. A transparent and efficient site evaluation process that gives credibility and legitimacy to the final site selection.

Through the combination of facility siting best practices, multi-stakeholder collaboration and pragmatic legislative initiatives, the CCSI offers the most efficient and inclusive pathway to site the storage of spent nuclear fuel.

To this end, we are launching a feasibility analysis of the CCSI.
